The preservation lab located in the Heritage and Research Library provides equipment for personal archiving of documents, home movies, and photographs. It is a free do-it-yourself (DIY) model, meaning we provide step-by-step instructions, but you control the process from start to finish.

VHS Tapes
Audio/Visual formats digitize in real time. If the tape has two hours of content, then it will take two hours to digitize that content. There is no way to speed up the process. All copyright laws must be followed when preserving items. If you do not own the copyright, we will unable to help you digitize the item.
