Library cards for children under age 18 require a parent or legal guardian to provide proof of identity and current address. These accounts will be issued with restricted borrowing privileges. To remove these restrictions, a parent or legal guardian must visit a library branch and authorize the change in person.

Proof of Horry County Residency

A valid photo ID is required. If your current address does not appear on your photo ID, you must also provide proof of current address (such as a utility bill, bank statement, vehicle registration, or paid property tax receipt).

Your documents will be deleted once your library card is processed and your card number is emailed to you.
