Interlibrary Loans

If an item you wish to borrow is not owned by any branches of the Horry County Memorial Library system, we can request it from another library system in the United States free of charge through our library's Interlibrary Loan service.

We accept requests with the following limits:

• Customers are limited to 10 interlibrary loan requests at a time.

• Items cannot be owned by any branch of the Horry County Memorial Library system.

• Only items with no fees will be requested, unless customer agrees to provide funds in check format prior to fulfillment.

• We accept print, audiobook, DVDs, music CDs, periodicals, photocopies, and microfilm requests. We cannot request eBooks or eAudio Books.

• All interlibrary loan items are 14 day check-outs.

• We recommend items have a publication date of at least 3 months prior to request.

• All requests for renewals should be directed to the interlibrary loan department prior to the item due date. Renewals are at the lending library’s discretion.
