The Horry County Memorial Library recognizes that no single library system can meet all of the demands in its community.

The Library will therefore actively promote cooperation with other libraries (public, school, and academic) and information services providers (public and private).

Through this cooperation, the Library hopes to:

·       Strengthen the services and resources of the Library

·       Provide the maximum use of the collection

·       Facilitate requests for materials and services

The Library takes these actions to ensure the broadest possible dissemination of information to the public.

The Library Director is responsible for the establishment and administration of this policy.
